Authorization Procedures For Employees Who Make
Political Contributions Through Payroll Deduction

The Public Disclosure Commission is contemplating rule making to accommodate electronic payroll deduction authorizations for employees who make political contributions through payroll deduction.  RCW 42.17A.495 and WAC 390-17-100.

Allowing employee authorizations through electronic means was suggested by stakeholders during the January 24, 2013 Commission meeting.  A video of that discussion is available at http://www.livestream.com/wapdc (video labeled 1_24_13 10_55) and related materials are linked to the online agenda.  The discussion is tentatively scheduled to resume when the Commission meets February 28, 2013.

The Commission invites stakeholders to submit comments prior to the February 28 meeting.  Send your comments to Lori Anderson or Nancy Krier no later than 12 noon on Tuesday, February 19, to ensure that they may be delivered to commissioners before the meeting.  Comments received after then, but before February 28, will be available to the commissioners during the meeting.
